Prince Sultan bin Salman Launched the Education and Awareness Program
His Royal Highness is Sponsoring the Video “Friends Despite Our Differences”
His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, King Salman Center for Disability Research, instituted the Education and Awareness Program. His Royal Highness is also sponsoring the video "Friends Despite Our Differences."
His Royal Highness, during his speech on this occasion, expressed his pleasure to participate in this important event and his full support for special programs and projects, which give the Centre a presence in issues relating to disability first, and in particular children's issues in some of the problems that cause pressure on them. His Royal Highness emphasized that the issue of Vitiligo is very important, although it is not apparent in the field now. Therefore, the objectives of this program are very important, as it addresses the subject in a new way that addresses society in accordance with modern, organized, and correct methods. In closing, His Highness thanked the King Salman Centre for Disability Research, and He also thanked Her Royal Highness Prince Yasmeen Bint Ahmed bin Salman, Director of the Education and Awareness Program.
For her part, Her Royal Highness Princess Yasmeen Bint Ahmed Bin Salman, Director of the Education and Awareness Program, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman for launching and supporting the program and its objectives, which seek to spread awareness and education, and contributes to the providing of programs and tools of video, audio-reading and training programs, in order to raise awareness of all types of disabilities and how to deal with individuals with disabilities, their families, the community surrounding them, to participate in the activation of global days and events that concern them annually, and to raise awareness of modern tools and means of education and awareness that contribute to improving their quality of life and meeting their needs.
The introduction was marked by the launch of a video entitled Friends despite our differences. However, we disagree, one of the Education and Awarness Program initiatives aimed at highlighting the importance of respecting and accepting our differences and raising awareness about the issue of "Bullying" among children with disabilities and their peers.
It is worth mentioning that the launch of the video Friends Despite our Differences coincided with World Vitiligo Day, which is on June 25 every year.
