Heads the Sixth Meeting of the Board of Trustees at King Salman Disability Research Center, And Launches the Disability Comprehensive Encyclopedia
His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research, headed the sixth meeting of the Board at its fifth session during a virtual meeting, at the start of the meeting, His Royal Highness, on behalf of the members of the Board of Trustees and the employees of the Center, conveyed his highest thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the founder of the Center - May Allah protect him- for the continued support and tremendous care of the Center's projects and programs, on the issues of disability, and his generous efforts to address them.
During the beginning of the meeting, His Royal Highness started the meeting by launching the "Disability Comprehensive Encyclopedia" a King Salman Center for Scientific Disability Research project, which is a reflection of the plans and strategy the Center has been implementing with a group of experts, authors, and evaluators in the field of disability, making it a distinct and specialized scientific reference for professionals, academic institutions, postgraduate students, researchers, and those interested in the development of disability fields in accordance with the highest global scientific standards.
The standards of the Center’s work have always been exceptional and the "Disability Comprehensive Encyclopedia”will reveal the passion and dedication it has in the field of disability.
His Royal Highness Prince Sultan reviewed the meeting’s agenda. The Council reviewed the report of His Excellency the Chairman of the King Salman International Award for Disability Research, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabia, and the start of receiving applications for the award. The Board also reviewed the report of the Secretary-General of the Sixth International Conference for Disability and Rehabilitation. This was followed by a review of the Financial Supervisor of the Center, Fahd Al-Athim, of the approved Financial Statements for 2020, and the semi-annual financial report for 2021m.
His Royal Highness Prince Sultan values the Center's high assessment from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of financial safety, standards of commitment, compliance, transparency, and disclosure, which are an addition to the number of recognition and appreciation certificates achieved by the Center.
The Center’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ola AbuSukkar, presented the scientific and administrative report, covering the main work of the Center during the previous period and research programs and projects.
The meeting concluded with His Royal Highness Prince Sultan thanking the members of The Board, the members of the committees, and the center’s employees for their continuous work in the center and its cause.
