The idea was adopted and sponsored by the pioneering humanitarian entrepreneur, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, founder of the King Salman Center for Disability Research, until this center saw the light, as the approval of the Ministry of Social Affairs (at that time) was issued for its establishment on 1/24/1412 AH, to be a building block of his honorable position. The best, which included all areas that serve the groups of society in general, and groups of people with disabilities in particular, and the generous care and continuous support from his honorable position led to the center becoming one of the few centers in the Arab and Islamic world that deals with scientific research specialized in disability issues.
