Introduction
This programs aims to connect exceptional researchers from international universities with their peers in the Kingdom to develop the quality and quantity of scientific research through international partnerships and collaboration with the Top 100 universities around the world. It also contributes in strengthening the connection between The King Salman Center for Disability Research and international universities. This initiative aligns with the center’s vision and goal to support and development of scientific research and is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 , which seeks to promote scientific research , innovation , and the development of national expertise.
Initiative Goals:
1. Transfer knowledge, skills, and modern technology in the field of Science.
2. Improve the quality of scientific research on disability.
3. Attract leading scholars in disability research to visit the center and national academic institutions.
4. Build research capacities and enhance researchers’ skills through collaboration with global universities.
5. Publish scientific research in high-ranking, reputable journals in the field of disability.
6. Develop innovative solutions to address challenges faced by people with disabilities.
Selection Criteria for International Researchers:
Experience and scientific publications in the field of disability research.
Affiliation with a university ranked among the top 100 according to the Shanghai Ranking.
An H-Index of no less than 25
Preference for highly cited researchers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Scientific publication in either “Nature” or “ Science” journals.
Scientific publication in the top 10% of ranked scientific journals.
Scientific publication in the top 50% of ranked scientific journals (Q1-Q2).
Achieving a patent.
Organizing a specialized workshop in the field of disability research.
Presenting an oral presentation at an international scientific conference.
Conducting a training course for persons with disabilities or professionals in the field.
Exchange visits between the lead researcher and the international researcher.
Authoring books that serve persons with disabilities or their families.
