The Scientific Committee of the King Salman Center for Disability Research held its second meeting of the sixth session, led by Dr. Talal Al-Sudairy, member of the Board of Trustees, and the attendance of members via video communication.
The meeting began with a with a review of topics on the agenda, which included the presentation of the annual report of the Department of Research, Development and Innovation for 2024, and the most outstanding achievements in the field of disability research.
Reviewing the new programs launched by the Center, in addition to the "Gap Reporting Program", that aims to spot technical and knowledge gaps in this field. The Committee also reviewed the "Patent and Innovation Initiative in the Field of Disability" included in the "Innovation Valley" program. additionally, they reviewed scientific partnerships with the top 100 international universities according to the Shanghai classification, to strengthen international cooperation in disability research.
In conclusion, the Committee stressed the importance of supporting scientific research and strengthening cooperation with international institutions to develop innovative solutions that serve disability issues for persons with disabilities.
