Research Hub

Introduction

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the lives of people with disabilities and promote scientific research in this field, we are pleased to announce the strategic cooperation between the King Salman Center for Disability Research and KAUST through the Research Hub program.

This cooperation aims to integrate research resources and expertise to improve the quality of studies and provide innovative solutions to disability challenges by taking advantage of the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI).

 

Collaboration objectives

This joint cooperation aims to achieve the following objectives:

1- Enhancing the quality of scientific research:

  • Improving the level of research in the field of disability by providing joint technical and technological support.
  • Enhancing cooperation between research teams to exchange knowledge and expertise and develop advanced research projects.


2- Accelerating innovation and development:

  • Developing new technologies and solutions to address challenges associated with disability, including improving assistive devices and therapeutic techniques.
  • Encouraging innovation by integrating the latest technologies and scientific research into development projects.


3-  Providing training support and professional development:

  • Organizing joint workshops and training courses to raise the skills of researchers and students in the fields of disability research.
  • Providing opportunities for training and professional development through joint programs.


4-  Enhancing academic and research cooperation:

  • Establishing joint research projects that bring together researchers from the center and the university to achieve valuable scientific results.
  • Organizing joint scientific seminars and conferences to exchange results and experiences and enhance cooperation between researchers.

 

Research Hub Program Initiatives

1-  Joint research projects:

  • Implementing research projects aimed at developing practical solutions to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, with a focus on priority areas such as assistive and therapeutic technologies.
  • Collaborating in conducting field studies and analyzing data to develop new solutions.


2- Seminars and conferences:

  • Organizing periodic scientific events such as seminars and conferences to highlight new research and innovations in the field of disability.
  • Providing a platform for researchers to present their research results and discuss the latest developments in this field.


3- Supporting researchers and students: 

  • Financial support for distinguished researchers and students in the field of disability research.
  • Providing the necessary resources and tools to support research and develop scientific projects.
