Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research, the King Salman Center for Disability Research intends to organize the First Disability Research Forum under the theme “We Research Today to Empower Tomorrow.”
The forum will be held on Wednesday, 16 Rabi‘ Al-Thani 1447 AH (corresponding to October 8, 2025), from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Grand Hall, Conference Center of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Riyadh.
The forum is graciously hosted by King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, the scientific partner of the King Salman Center for Disability Research. It serves as a distinguished scientific platform that highlights the latest trends in disability research, including recent scientific developments and technological innovations such as assistive devices and artificial intelligence. It will also address research and social challenges facing the field.
Furthermore, the forum aims to strengthen collaboration among researchers and institutions to exchange knowledge and achieve impactful and sustainable outcomes, with broad participation from experts and specialists from within the Kingdom and abroad.
The King Salman Center for Disability Research is pleased to invite all segments of society — including researchers, specialists, students, those interested in the field, and families of persons with disabilities — to attend the forum’s sessions and explore the latest advancements in disability research, thereby promoting social awareness and fostering a culture of inclusion, empowerment, and courage.
