King Salman Center for Disability Research and stc Group Sign Strategic Sponsorship Agreement for the 7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation

King Salman Center for Disability Research (KSCDR) and stc Group, a digital transformation enabler and one of the Kingdom’s largest telecommunications and information technology companies, have signed a strategic sponsorship agreement for the 7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation, taking place in Riyadh from October 11 to 13, 2026.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Salman Center for Disability Research, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Khalid Al Abdullah Al Faisal Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of stc Group.

A Strategic Partnership Supporting Research and Innovation

Under the agreement, stc Group will participate as a strategic sponsor of the conference, which serves as an international platform bringing together leading researchers, specialists, innovators, and international organizations to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest developments and advancements in disability research, healthcare, and rehabilitation.

The sponsorship builds on the partnership between King Salman Center for Disability Research and stc Group, reflecting the Group’s commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector, empowering persons with disabilities, contributing to initiatives that enhance their quality of life, and supporting research and scientific efforts in the field of disability.

Royal Patronage and an International Scientific Program

The 7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation is held under the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The conference will take place at the King Faisal Conference Center at the InterContinental Riyadh and will showcase the latest scientific, research, and technological developments in disability and rehabilitation through a comprehensive scientific program bringing together local and international expertise across a range of disciplines.

International Participation in the King Salman International Award for Disability Research

The conference will also feature the honoring of the winners of the fourth edition of the King Salman International Award for Disability Research, which received more than 770 applications from over 111 countries worldwide, reflecting the Award’s international reach and prominent role in supporting specialized scientific research in the field of disability.

 

King Salman International Award for Disability Research Draws Global Participation

The conference will feature the honoring of the winners of the fourth edition of the King Salman International Award for Disability Research, which attracted more than 770 submissions from over 111 countries worldwide, highlighting the Award’s international reach and its significant role in advancing specialized scientific research in the field of disability.

 

AI Hackathon for Persons with Disabilities

The conference will also host the AI Hackathon for Persons with Disabilities as an accompanying event, aimed at leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to develop innovative solutions with sustainable impact.

More Than 530 Scientific Submissions to the Conference

The conference received more than 530 scientific submissions, reflecting the broad international research participation and growing interest in knowledge exchange, expertise sharing, and the development of scientific and practical solutions related to disability and rehabilitation.

The conference sessions will address the latest developments in healthcare and rehabilitation, emerging technologies, and the role of medicine and multidisciplinary therapy in improving outcomes and quality of life for persons with disabilities, alongside a range of related scientific and research topics.

The sixth edition of the conference, held in 2022, saw stc Group participate as part of its long-standing and ongoing partnership with King Salman Center for Disability Research, supporting the Center’s efforts to advance research and promote knowledge in the field of disability.
