His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research, opened the seventh meeting of the Board (sixth term) by welcoming the members and expressing appreciation for their efforts and contributions in supporting the Center’s progress, He emphasized the importance of joint efforts to achieve its strategic objectives.
The meeting was attended by board members:
Ibrahim Al-Jomaih, Chairman of Aljomaih Holding Group;
Mubarak Al-Khafra, Chairman of National Industrialization Company;
Sara Al-Muhaidib, Executive Director of Abdulqader Al-Muhaidib Community Service Foundation;
Rasha Al-Turki, Board Member of Alturki Holding;
Abdulaziz Al-Qahtani, Chairman of Sons of Abdulhadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani Holding Group;
Tariq Al-Sadhan, CEO of the Saudi National Bank;
Talal Al-Sudairi, Senior Vice President for Research and Development at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology;
Yasser Sharbatly, Member of the Board of Trustees of Hassan Abbas Sharbatly Community Service Foundation;
Fahd Al-Olayan, Senior Deputy CEO and Head of Sustainability and Social Responsibility Group at Bank AlJazira.
The meeting reviewed the follow-up report on the implementation of decisions from the previous meeting and discussed items on the agenda , These included approving the Center’s annual report for 2025, reviewing the operational plan for 2027, approving the financial statements, and discussing several matters related to investment and regulatory aspects.
The meeting also included a review of preparations for the Seventh International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation, as well as the fourth cycle of the King Salman Award for Disability Research, as part of monitoring the readiness of the Center’s strategic initiatives and events.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman stressed the importance of continuing institutional work and enhancing integration and coordination among board members and the Center’s staff, in a way that supports achieving its strategic goals and strengthens its leading role in supporting scientific research and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
